Meet the Forme Bra: The Posture-Perfecting Hype You’ve Seen All Over Social Media

If you’re even semi-online, you’ve probably seen the Forme Bra going viral. The buzz hit a fever pitch when none other than Taylor Swift was spotted wearing it during rehearsals—because obviously, what T. Swift wears, the internet investigates. But is the posture bra everyone is talking about really worth it?

The Aphrodite Insider—our monthly online wellness magazine dedicated to exploring trends, tools, and discoveries in San Diego’s wellness scene—is always down to test what’s worth the hype. So naturally, I (Em) caved to curiosity, swallowed the $188 price tag, and bought one.

Yep. I did it for the posture (and, okay, maybe a little for the pop star alignment).

First Impressions: It’s Giving Ballerina Vibes

I’ve been wearing the Forme Bra for over a month now. Have you noticed my ballerina-level posture in clinic? No? Rude.

Anyway, here’s what I learned: while Forme doesn’t detail the mechanics of how the bra improves alignment, I picked up on a few things from living in it daily.

How It Actually Works (IMO)

The design seems to involve strategic zones of tightness sewn into the otherwise stretchy, seamless fabric. These zones gently press into areas like:

  • Just behind your armpits
  • Across your upper back
  • Along your shoulder blades

This pressure creates proprioceptive awareness—basically, it makes you notice your posture muscles. It’s not restrictive, but it’s just enough to nudge your body into a better position. Kind of like a soft reminder from your clothes to stand a little taller.

The Real Test: Taking It Off

I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. I mean, $188? For a bra?

But here’s the twist: the moment I took it off, I noticed a difference.
My posture muscles felt gently fatigued—like they’d been doing micro-reps all day long without me realizing it. That subtle ache made me want to… put it back on. (Stockholm syndrome but make it wellness.)

The Verdict: Do I Love It?

Weirdly… yes. I found myself reaching for it over all my other bras. Every. Single. Day.

Would I buy another at full price? Probably not—but if it ever goes on sale? I’m absolutely grabbing a second.

Pro Tip from the Insider: SIZE UP.

I measured as a Large according to Forme’s size chart, but a patient gave me the inside scoop to size up—and I’m glad I did. The XL fits snugly enough to activate posture support, but not so tight that I can’t wear it all day. Trust me, the size-up hack is key.
