If you are going through IVF, you are likely well aware of how important it is to manage one’s expectations throughout this process. It can often feel like on hurdle after another when everything feels out of your control.

We routinely tell all our patients undergoing fertility treatment to expect half of all eggs and embryos to make it through each stage.

For example, if you had 20 eggs retrieved, expect around 10 to fertilize, 5 to make it to day 5 blastocyst, and about 3 to be PGT-tested normal.
