Whether you are just starting on your TTC journey or have been at it a while, the fertility specialists at Aphrodite are here to help guide your path. Here is what to expect at your first appointment.

You will enter our bright and airy Hillcrest clinic and step into a private treatment room. For the first 30-40 minutes, you and your fertility acupuncturist will sit and chat at a table and you will have the opportunity to share all the details of your fertility journey thus far, your menstrual and medical history. You will be asked many detailed questions that help us understand your story better. We will make it known that we are on your team, and you always have us to turn to as a source of expert fertility support and guidance.

Then you will receive your first acupuncture treatment, where you will rest on the treatment table for about 15-20 minutes under a heat lamp or two (if you want them) with a handful of acupuncture needles in. All of our patients find our treatments deeply relaxing and restorative.

After the treatment, we will return to the table and your acupuncturist will share with you the key lifestyle recommendations (requirements, really) that will best support you on your journey – everything from nutrition, exercise, daily habits, supplements, and some fertility do’s and don’ts.

You will leave your first session feeling seen and heard and excited about finally having a fertility plan moving forward and a team of experts to back you up, and will look forward to coming in for your follow-up treatments.
